POW! HIT! People & Organizations improving Workflow w/Health Info Tech

Social, Mobile, Analytics, Cloud, Language and Workflow

EHRworkflow.com is about four big topics of the SMAC acronym: Social, Mobile, Analytics (Data), and Cloud, to which I add Workflow technology (business process management) and Language technology (natural language processing). The last two, I've several hundred thousand words about on EHR Workflow Management Systems and over 15,000 tweets at @EHRworkflow.

EHRworkflow.com is a place for me to share content about ideas and technology relevant to improving workflow in healthcare. I like finding articles, news, research, people, organizations (for profit and non-profit) involving use of social, mobile, analytics, cloud, workflow, and language technologies to improve healthcare's spaghetti workflows.

If you're in healthcare a looking for new ideas and technologies to improve your workflows, you came the right place. If you aren't in healthcare (yet), have specific expertise in any of these six exciting areas, and are interested in understanding how they can improve healthcare workflow, you came to the right place.

By "place" I mean my Twitter account @EHRworkflow, from where I tweet alerts, opinions, and links. Sometimes you'll land on someone else's website. Sometimes, when I want to highlight a quoted paragraph or two, or express an opinion, you'll land on a short post here on EHRworkflow.com. Sort of my own personally branded TwitLonger.com.

If you do follow me, via Twitter at @EHRworkflow, at some point I'll probably introduce you to the wider community of folks also interested in using SMACWL technologies to improve healthcare workflow. Those "Welcome..." introductions are often retweeted and favorited. And you'll likely get followed by like-minded, progressive-thinking informavores on Twitter. I hope you'll join the party!

Oh? The POW! HIT! Profiles?. POWHIT stands for People and Organizations improving Workflow in Healthcare with Information Technology (or Ideas and Technology). The POW! HIT! section of EHRworkflow.com is a place for me to recognize healthcare workflow heroes.
